I wake up and look out the window or into the face of one of my crazy dogs and think how lucky I am to be alive in this place and at this time! The people visiting me this year just blow my mind…LK Ludwig, Sas Colby, Lynne Perrella, Juliana Coles, The Pods, Jesse Reno, Traci Bunkers, Dorit Elisha, Rice Freeman-Zachery! That I am working with Sonora Beam excites me daily. That I am surrounded by my beautiful friends and family, co-workers and co-creators…who could ask for anything more? I am blessed to breathe in and breathe out in this rarified air! Wonderful, just wonderful!

Welcome 2008!

January 17th, 2008

Welcome 2008! What a great year this promises to be. We start right off with a bang with the 24th annual Valentine Tea and Exchange and a visit from the amazing LK Ludwig! She has an inspiring new book and her class looks so beautiful, I can’t wait for her to arrive. Check out the website to see more about her and all the other great teachers coming in 2008! Painting In The House

July 22nd, 2007

Well, it’s actually out of the house now. This is one of my most recent works…a five by five on box canvas. It went to it’s new home along with a sister painting done for Tobin and Lynnee Rogers. I have one more from the trilogy looking for a new home. On another note, Traci Bunkers was here this past weekend for her “Get You Art On Buffet” workshop and it was a total gas. I learned so much and a great time was had by all. We are already planning her return some time in November. Over and out!

A Word About Art Freak!

May 29th, 2007

Here is a letter I got from a reader and friend from Tucson, Patti Finfrock on the subject of the new issue of Art Freak! I love it! Enjoy!

It has arrived! It’s eggzactly what I needed for a pick-me-up today. It’s eggsellent in content, eggsalted in quality, eggseedingly generous in materials and resources, eggseptional in design, eggciting for it’s ideas, eggsclusive and totally original, eggsecuted with inspiration, eggsemplary for other zine makers, an eggseption to the ordinary, worthy of eggsibition, eggspands the mind and spirit, shows the effort you eggspended to make it, eggsplores novel techniques, eggsplodes with color and texture, eggspresses your joy about your art, eggstends my thoughts about doing art, is an eggstravaganza of images, shines with eggsuberance… You can eggsult in your accomplishment. I await your next inspiration eggspectantly. It will take several readings to eggsplore all that is contained. I’m eggstremely happy to be it’s recipient. I could eggstol your talents all day. It is just #@%* (eggspletive) good!

I could go on, but that’s a bit eggsessive already! Love, P

A few changes…

May 12th, 2007

Well, there are going to be a few changes around here so keep an eye on the site. The new gallery should be finished shortly. Art Freak Winter will be back in stock in about ten days. A new book is in the wings and a ton of great classes are coming up. Stay tuned! CP

Whew!

November 15th, 2006

It has been a crazy time around here! The new issue of Art Freak is out. I had Juliana Coles and Sas Colby in town for workshops and now, in addition to preparing for the wedding of my youngest daughter, Acacia, I am hosting two Fat Books for Art Fest! Along with all the other stuff that one does during the holidays I have two upcoming birthdays and a new dog joining the family! Now this is life just the way I like it…jam packed with wonderful stuff!
